Far East Bazaar commitee seeks donations

MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- The Far East Bazaar is just around the corner and the Misawa Officers' Spouses' Club Hospitality Committee needs help with donations.

The bazaar is scheduled Nov. 3 from 10 to 5 p.m. and Nov. 4 from 10 to 4 p.m. in Hangar 949.

"As sponsors of the bazaar, MOSC has continuously been able to provide a hospitality/food room for those working this event," said Trina Rockwell, MOSC bazaar hospitality chair. "Vendors are not allowed to leave the hangar during the bazaar, so through this room we are able to provide meals, snacks, and light beverages for visiting vendors as well as our many volunteers."

Hospitality depends on the generosity of contributors to make it all happen.

"We need bottled water, sodas and monetary donations," said Mrs. Rockwell. "We accept monetary donations because it makes it easier for those who want to give something, but just don't have the time to shop. We'll take care of the shopping for them. Checks can be made out to 'MOSC bazaar.'"

To make a donation, contact Liz George from the North Area at 222-3505 or Trina Rockwell from the Main Base at 222-4939 by Oct. 30. Donations of soda and bottled water can also be dropped off at Hangar 949 by going through the volunteer entrance at the back of the Hangar on the mornings of Nov. 2 and 3.
