MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan --  Biggest Loser Sign-ups: Sign-ups for Misawa's 3rd Annual Biggest Loser Competition are taking place until Jan. 14. Individual and four-person teams are welcome to sign-up. The Biggest Loser is a 10-week weight loss fitness contest. The 1st place team receives $2,000, and the first place individual receives $500. MLK Luncheon: A commemorative luncheon to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 18 in the enlisted club. Cost is $10 for club members and $12 for non-members. ID Card and DEERS Maintenance: The MPF ID card machines will be down for mandatory system upgrades Jan. 16 and 17. Customers may report to Navy PSD, Building 980, Room 129, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. for ID card and DEERS assistance.

Cable TV Service Interruption: Due to Government of Japan communications upgrades, cable TV will be interrupted on the following days:
Jan. 15 from 8: 30 to 10:30 a.m. (North Area)
Jan. 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
