Military Retiree Appreciation Day
MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Col. R.C. Craig, 35th Fighter Wing vice commander, Rita Inchaurregui-Powell, AAFES sales and merchandise manager, and Mr. David Barton, Misawa Air Base Retirees Activities Office director, cut the ceremonious cake Sept. 19 at the Misawa Base Exchange. The cake-cutting ceremony marked the official start of the 9th annual Misawa Military Retiree Appreciation Day. The RAO at Misawa supports a retiree population of approximately 450 retirees, dependants and survivors from all branches of the service in Northern Japan.
