35th Fighter Wing Recognizes Mr Jim Moody – an Outstanding DoDDS Teacher Published Oct. 26, 2009 By Faye Jenkins DoDDS MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- On 14 October 2009, Cummings Elementary School and the 35th Fighter Wing joined forces to recognize the superior performance of DoDDS teacher, Mr Jim Moody. Colonel RC Craig, 35th Fighter Wing Vice Commander and Misawa's School Liaison Officer, made a surprise visit to the school to recognize Mr Moody for outstanding programs he implemented for Cummings students. Programs highlighted include the student-managed Cummings News Broadcast Company (CNBC), Cross Country Skiing, the Sapporo Experience, and Educational Technology programs. While presenting a 35 FW "You Made a Difference" certificate to Mr Moody, Colonel Craig acknowledged, "Your highly effective hands-on programs have helped Misawa's youth develop public speaking, research, media presentation, and organizational skills and have positively impacted their career and life skill development. We want to thank you on behalf of the 35th Fighter Wing as well as the families of Misawa Air Base for a job well done."
