Misawa Airman tried for on-base offenses Published Sept. 2, 2010 By the 35th Fighter Wing Legal Office MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- A 35th Fighter Wing Airman was found guilty of assault consummated by battery, on Misawa Air Base, and not guilty of failure to obey a no-contact order, housebreaking and stalking, during a special court-martial that concluded 26 Aug. The court found Senior Airman Michael R. Browne guilty of assault upon a former girlfriend and sentenced him to a reduction to airman first class, forfeiture of $950 per month for three months, and 45 days hard labor without confinement. Through the Uniform Code of Military Justice process, the facts of this case have been considered and evaluated in an impartial manner to ensure the outcome of the court-martial is fair and just.
