PCS survey aims to improve process Published Oct. 12, 2010 By Staff Sgt. Hon Mac 35th Logistics Readiness Squadron personal property supervisor MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- For Airmen and their families new to Misawa, feedback on their personal property customer service can positively affect their next permanent change of station. After the boxes are unpacked, travel vouchers are filed and children are settled into their new schools, Misawa's personal property office encourages families to complete a 12- question customer satisfaction survey. This survey acts as a scorecard or a grade report for government and industry organizations involved in moving a member's household goods to Misawa, allowing the member to give useful feedback. Members' participation helps ensure Air Force leadership is aware of how each move went. The results are used in two ways. Military services use the results to determine how well the personal property offices did assisting Airmen and families, and how well the commercial moving company performed. The amount of business the Department of Defense awards a commercial carrier is determined by this feedback. Members should receive an e-mail for this survey up to 21 days following delivery. Participating helps ensure quality moves for thousands of other service members and their families. Airmen and family members who did not receive an e-mail can select the Personal Property/POV link at www.SDDC.army.mil to access the survey.
