Neither rain, nor sleet, nor wind nor hail will stop the 35th Maintenance Squadron Monkeys Against Drunk Driving Campaign.

Airmen from the 35th MXS, Japan were in full swing during the month of February, offering free rides home to base personnel.

Master Sgt. Todd Maddox, 35th MXS propulsion flight, led 18 volunteers in providing more than 30 rides home in one weekend.

"The 35th MXS MADD does not operate each Saturday night, but we do try to have at least one monkey event a month," said Major Todd Wydra, 35th MXS commander. "This enthusiasm not only 'drives home' the importance of zero tolerance for DUIs, it also demonstrates our commitment to keeping the city of Misawa, local community and base personnel safe."
