An enlisted high year tenure brief is scheduled for Jan. 6 in the Mokuteki Ballroom at 3:30 p.m. to educate those senior airman, staff and technical sergeants stationed here affected by a recent change in force management.

The brief follows an official Air Force announcement made Dec. 19, which stated these HYT changes are a part of ongoing force management programs that size and shape the Air Force to current and future requirements.

High year of tenure is the maximum years of service an Airman can remain on active-duty as his or her current grade. The grade of senior airman will be reduced from 10 to eight years, staff sergeant will be reduced from 20 to 15 years, and technical sergeant will be reduced from 22 to 20 years.
