Where are you from? Originally from Palmer, Alaska.

What's your favorite thing about being stationed in Japan? I enjoy the culture of the Japanese people; the Overseas Cost of Living Allowance is pretty nice also.

Who has been your greatest Air Force mentor and what quality about this mentor do you value most? My first supervisor Tech. Sgt. Jeremy Carlson. The quality I valued the most was his intelligence.

What is your primary professional goal at this point in your career? To make Tech Sgt. and finish my final class for my Community College of the Air Force degree.

What motivates you? Family and a desire for self-improvement.

Describe the best day of your life: The day I met my best friend and lovely wife, Jessica.

What advice would you give to new Airmen? Decide where you want to be in the future and start working at it now.

Supervisor's comment: "Staff Sgt. Alverez stepped up and took over a major program for both Aircraft Maintenance Units," said Master Sgt. Michael Banks, 35th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron specialist section chief. "His hard work and effort resulted in no major findings in a recent inspection. He epitomizes Service before Self by working countless hours to make the mission happen."
