Falcons return to nest after supporting Eagle

More than 50 Airmen from the 13th and 14th Fighter Squadrons and Aircraft Maintenance Units returned home from a deployment in support of Operation Noble Eagle that lasted approximately nine months, April 10 through the 16 at Misawa Air Base, Japan.

"The best part of being back is being able to see my family again," said Capt. Matthew Clark, 14 FS flight chief.

Airmen from the 13 and 14 FS and AMU, supported the Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command Region during the deployment.

ONE is the name given to the military response to the type of terrorist attacks used on Sept. 11, 2001. Those attacks prompted the NORAD to augment its mission to begin conducting surveillance and control of the aerospace inside Canada and the U.S.
