UPDATE: Training device off-range

MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Members from the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron spent yesterday surveying the marsh area for any remnants of the training device but were unable to locate its position. The 35th Fighter Wing is now researching alternative means of recovering the device that will minimize the effect this search may have on the area. Today, another local company is visiting the site to provide their assessment of the situation to the wing. We appreciate the patience and support of the local community and our host-nation partners as we continue to move forward in this operation
