The following personnel at Misawa AB were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) during the month of May 2019:

Nonjudicial Punishments (Article 15):
A technical sergeant from the 35th Surgical Operations Squadron received an Article 15 for wrongfully soliciting an airman to make a false official statement, by asking her to falsely report the number of sit-ups she completed on her Fitness Assessment. The member received a suspended reduction to staff sergeant, 21 days of extra duties and a reprimand.

The following personnel at Misawa AB were administratively separated:

Discharges:
An airman from the 35th Maintenance Squadron was involuntarily separated for misconduct with minor disciplinary infractions, and received a general service characterization.

An airman first class from the 35th Operations Support Squadron was involuntarily separated for unsatisfactory performance with failure in the fitness program and received an honorable service characterization.

A senior airman from the 35th Maintenance Squadron was involuntarily separated for conditions that interfere with military service including mental or personality disorder not constituting a physical disability and received an honorable service characterization.

An airman first class from the 35th Medical Operations Squadron was involuntarily separated for misconduct with minor disciplinary infractions and received a general service characterization.

An airman from the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron that was facing a court-martial was granted discharge in lieu of a court-martial and received an under other than honorable conditions service characterization.
