During the month of December 2018, three Misawa Airmen received nonjudicial punishment under Article 15, Uniform Code of Military Justice, one Airmen was discharged under honorable conditions, and one Airmen was discharged under other than honorable conditions. Commanders use the following as a means of punishment, rehabilitation and maintaining good order and discipline.

 

Nonjudicial Punishments (Article 15):

 

A Senior Airman from the 35th Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for failing to show up to his ADAPT appointment.  The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-3, forfeiture of $207.00 pay per month for 2 months, and a reprimand.

 

A Senior Airman from the 35th Maintenance Squadron received an Article 15 for failing to show up to his ADAPT appointment.  The member received a reduction to the grade of E-3, 14 days extra duty, and a reprimand.

 

An Airman First Class from the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron received an Article 15 for violating curfew and dereliction of duty by failing to maintain current car insurance.  The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-1, 30 days restriction to base, and a reprimand.

 

Discharges:

 

An Airman from the 35th Maintenance Group was involuntarily separated for Misconduct:  Commission of a Serious Offense, for assaulting another Airman and received an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.


A Technical Sergeant from the 35th Maintenance Group was involuntarily separated for Misconduct:  Sexual Assault and received an Under Other Than Honorable Conditions (UOTHC) service characterization.
