MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan --  The month of December includes seven local and regional events offering attendees opportunities to continue building partnerships among their Japanese neighbors.

Christmas Festa
Date: Nov. 25 – Dec. 25
Location: Central shopping district (alongside the White Pole Road)

Misawa Phantasia
Date: Nov. 22, 2018 – Jan. 14, 2019
Illumination from 4:30 p.m. – Midnight
Location: Nakayoshi Park, Misawa City

Christmas Concert
Date: 8 Dec, 2018, Saturday
Family Concert: Doors open at 12:00 P.M. and start 1 P.M. open for all family
Night Concert: Doors open at 4 P.M. and start 5 P.M. (Children 5 years old and under are not allowed in)
Location: Misawa International Sports Center (across the Misawa Ice Arena) (40.681247, 141.399603)
Admission free. Seating will be on a first-come basis. Please bring your inside shoes and a bag to put your outside shoes put in. Eating and drinking is prohibited inside the facility.

Arts Towada Winter Illumination 2018
Date: 7 Dec, 2018, Friday – 24 Feb, 2019, Sunday, 4:30 – 9:00 P.M.
Lighting ceremony: 7 Dec, Friday, from 5:50 P.M.

Enjoy a magical world of fantasy art, illuminated with about 300,000 blue LED lights!

Christmas Market in Kosaka town
Date: 1, 8, 15, 22 Dec, Saturdays, 5 - 7:30 P.M.

A German-style Christmas market “Christkindlesmarkt” offering German gluhwein, foods, live shows, Christmas light displays and more.

Kabushima countdown festival 2019
Date: 31 Dec, 2018, Monday, 11:30 P.M. – 1 Jan, 2019, Tuesday, 12:00 A.M.
(If it rain, the fireworks will be postponed on 2 Jan, 2018, Wednesday, 6:00 P.M.
Location: Kabushima Shrine in Hachinohe (40.538041, 141.557445)
The event offers live music show, fireworks display as countdown event.

Christmas Market in ASPAM
Date: 14 Dec, Friday – 25 Dec, Tuesday, 12:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M.
(lighting up from Sundown to 9:00 P.M.)
Location: ASPAM in Aomori city (Triangle building with a tourist info center) (40.829970, 140.741332)
The event has decorated Christmas trees displays, German cuisine and Christmas ornaments booths.

Tatehana Sunday Morning Market
Date: Every Sunday (from mid-March through December), Sunrise – around 9 a.m.
Location: Tatehana Wharf, Hachinohe City

The event offers more than 300 booths selling fresh sea products, local vegetables, noodles and bread from the oven.
