Col. R. Scott Jobe, the 35th Fighter Wing commander, relieved Maj. Patrick Gordon, the 35th Security Forces Squadron commander, of his duties, June 6.

“The decision to relieve Maj. Gordon was not due to lack of confidence, job performance or loss of faith and trust in him,” said Jobe. “Maj. Gordon performed excellently, showed professionalism in the execution of his duties and ultimately got the mission done every day. This decision was made to allow the Gordon family to work through personal issues without the added stress of command.”

Capt. Macie Cottier has assumed the duties of squadron commander until further notice.
