Sendai English students embrace Misawa friends during annual base visit

MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- Natural disasters are trying times but lasting friendships can be forged through the adversity. One such friendship came about between Sollars Elementary School and MeySen Academy in Sendai following the 2011 Great Japan Earthquake.

This year Sollars Elementary School and a host of other Misawa Air Base agencies brought their Sendai neighbors back for their annual special military fair March 27.
