US, Thai relationship rekindled during COBRA GOLD 17

KORAT PROVINCE, Thailand -- An Engineer Civic Action Program team with members from the 35th Civil Engineer Squadron joined hundreds others from 29 nations across the Indo-Asia-Pacific region during Cobra Gold 2017.

The annual exercise is a Thailand and United States co-sponsored Combined Task Force and joint theater security cooperation exercise conducted annually in the Kingdom of Thailand.

CG17 kicked off Feb. 14 and will close out on Feb. 24.

This year’s exercise will consist of three primary events: a staff exercise which includes a senior leader seminar, humanitarian civic assistance projects, and a field training exercise that includes a variety of training events to enhance interoperability and strengthen regional relationships.
