MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- The Airman that was found yesterday morning has been identified as Airman 1st Class Justin Shaden of the 35th Maintenance Squadron, Misawa Air Base, Japan.
"Each person here on base is a valuable member of Team Misawa. Any time there is a loss it is devastating and sends shockwaves through the entire Misawa community," said Col. Travis Rex, 35th Fighter Wing vice commander. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and coworkers."
The cause of death is still under investigation and details will be released as they become available.

A Misawa Air Base member was found unresponsive in an on-base residence and declared dead Monday morning.
