U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Jason Allchin, a survival, evasion, resistance and escape specialist, and Staff Sgt. Kevin Zamora, the NCOIC of SERE operations and training, both with the 35th Operations Support Squadron rescued Staff Sgt. Matthew Stedge, a 35th Maintenance Squadron weapons load crew team chief, Dec. 30, 2018, on Hakkoda Mountain located in Northern Japan. The SERE team displayed true wingmanship by utilizing their expertise during a four-day weekend ensuring Stedge returned home safely to welcome the New Year.
