wild weasel of the week: Senior Airman Jonah Myers



Each week a member of the 35th Fighter Wing is selected as the Wild Weasel of the Week. This individual is recognized based on superior performance, outstanding work ethic, and overall good conduct and discipline.

The 35th Logistics Readiness Squadron chose Senior Airman Jonah Myers, a fuels repairman, to be their Wild Weasel of the Week.

What is your daily mission? 
To maintain and repair all air force refueling assets at Misawa Air Base.

What do you enjoy about your job? 
Identifying, isolating, and repairing difficult problems.

Why did you choose to serve in the Air Force?
To further my education and travel the world.

What is your favorite thing about living in Japan? 
The great food and culture.

Who has been your best mentor and what have they taught you?
My first supervisor, Staff Sgt.Beldyk; he taught me how to not only be a mechanic, but an Airman as well.

How long have you been stationed at Misawa?
5 Months

How long have you been in the Air Force?
3 ½ years

What goals do you want to meet while at Misawa?
To complete my CCAF, and eventually my bachelor degree.

What goals do you want to meet during your Air Force career?
Right now I'm aiming to make staff sergeant and get better at my job daily.
