The 35th Medical Group (35 MDG) is a 23-bed inpatient Military Treatment Facility providing primary and limited specialty care to approximately 10,000 residents at Misawa Air Base, Japan.
Our mission is Local beneficiaries consist primarily of 3,000 Active Duty Air Force members of the 35 Fighter Wing and their 4,000 dependents; additionally, the 35 MDG provides care for about 600 Navy, 100 Army, and 2,000 civilian must-see beneficiaries.
Specialty care services include General Surgery, Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Mental Health, and Physical Therapy. Medical needs exceeding 35 MDG capability are either referred to a Japanese treatment facility or Aeromedically evacuated to a higher echelon of care.
