Colonel BRYAN K. WONG

Colonel Bryan K. Wong is the Commander, 35th Maintenance Group, 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan. He is responsible for over 1,100 aircraft maintenance personnel who perform maintenance on 44 F-16CM aircraft valued at $1.4B. He also executes a $75M Flying-Hour Program, manages facilities and equipment worth $2.8B, and the daily operations of PACAF's Centralized Engine Repair Facility that provides 159 operational F110 engines, valued at over $700M to three fighter wings within Indo-PACOM. 

Col Wong was commissioned in September 2001 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He is a career aircraft maintenance officer and has served in numerous flights, squadron, group, wing, NAF, MAJCOM, and HAF positions in four commands, as well as an instructor at the Chief of Staff of the Air Force's Leadership Development Course for Squadron Command. Col Wong has worked a variety of airframes, including the F-15C, F-15E, B-1, F-16, A-10, and C-130 aircraft. He has deployed to Iraq and Kuwait for Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. 

Prior to serving as the 35th Maintenance Group Commander, Colonel Wong was a student at the U.S. Air Force Air War College in Maxwell AFB, Alabama.
