F-86F Sabre
An F-86F Sabre sits in Risner Circle at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Dec. 18, 2018. The F-86F model began production in 1952. Both U.S. Air Force and Japan Air Self-Defense Force units at Misawa AB utilized the aircraft until 1979. The aircraft downed 14 MIGs for every one F-86 lost in combat during the Korean War.
