Colonel Jeromy B. Guinther is the Commander, 35th Operations Group, 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan. The Group is comprised of two deployable F-16CM “Wild Weasel” Fighter Squadrons, an Operations Support Squadron, and an Air Control Flight capable of conducting and supporting worldwide operations. Colonel Guinther is responsible for flight operations, airfield management, Wing intelligence, tactical air control, weather support, an F-16 Mission Training Center and the Draughon Electronic Warfare Range.

Colonel Guinther entered the Air Force in May 2002 through the United States Air Force Academy. He completed pilot training in April 2004, and since then has held a variety of flying positions, primarily in the F-16 and PACAF. Most recently, he has commanded a Combat Squadron at Kunsan Air Base and served Deputy Chief of Combat Plans in PACAF's Air Operations Center, Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, HI. Prior to his position, Colonel Guinther was a student at National War College, National Defense University, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C.
