MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan --
Winter Awareness Briefings: Winter Awareness Briefings will be held 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Friday in the base theater. This briefing is mandatory for all Army, Navy, Air Force members, DoD civilians and contractors. Family members are encouraged to attend. A make-up briefing is scheduled for 1 p.m. Nov. 20. A briefing for DoDDS teachers and dependents is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Nov. 20.
Holiday Mailing: The deadline for holiday mailing is Nov. 26 for space available mail. The priority/first class mailing deadline is Dec. 7, with the express deadline Dec. 15. The post office will open an annex for parcel mailing at the BX from Nov. 17 to Dec. 16. Hours for the annex are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday through Friday. Credit and debit cards only are accepted at the annex.
Harlem Ambassadors: The Harlem Ambassadors are planning a visit to Misawa for a game against the Misawa Jets. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Nov. 28 at the Potter Fitness Center. Bring an item of basketball memorabilia for free autographs after the game.
Individual Antiterrorism Travel Plans: Per USPACOMINST 3850.2K, all DoD military and civilian personnel on official travel and military personnel on leave traveling anywhere within the PACOM area of responsibility must complete an Individual Antiterrorism Travel Plan (IATP) approved by the proper command level prior to departure. For group travel on official orders where the itinerary is identical, one plan may be filed for the entire group. Details are available through your Squadron or Group Antiterrorism Monitor or call the 35th Fighter Wing Antiterrorism Office at 226-9525.
