Misawa Conserves Misawa Conserves

Power and resource conservation is everyone's responsibility here at Misawa Air Base. Residents can take small steps toward saving our precious resources such as: turning off lights when not in use and planning your trips to save fuel. Each step taken makes our lives better, not just at Misawa or in Japan, but across the planet!

With every kilowatt of power saved, drop of water not wasted and gallon of fuel unnecessarily burnt, Misawa helps our host nation save resources as well.

"As humans, we cannot take things for granted," said Capt. Ricky Cam, 35th Civil Engineer Squadron programs flight chief. "We are a creature of habit, used to a certain way of life; and unless it drastically affects us, it will be hard to change."
