Ancient arrowheads returned to Misawa after 60 years
On Oct. 23, 2018, Col. Kristopher Struve, the 35th FW commander, officially repatriated obsidian artifacts, determined to be between 2,300 and 15,000 years old, to the Government of Japan and the Japanese people, fulfilling the dying wish of an Airman stationed at Misawa Air Base more than 60 years ago.
