Misawa hosts Inaugural first ever Juneteenth Family Reunion
Members from Team Misawa participate in a spades tournament during the Juneteenth Family Reunion event at Misawa Air Base, Japan, June 18, 2022. Spades originated in the late 1930’s, but grew with popularity among soldiers during World War II for its fast pace, strategic plays and portability. The inaugural Juneteenth Family Reunion event, hosted by the African American Heritage Association, provided food, competitions and games. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Brieana E. Bolfing)
