MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan - The Misawa Officers Spouses' Club needs volunteers to assist with the annual Misawa Spring Far East Bazaar March 31 and April 1 in Hangar 949.

"The Misawa Bazaar is a great event. There are so many great things to experience and purchase," said Tiana Williams, volunteer chairperson.

In order to make this worthwhile event, volunteers are needed to help with set up and tear down, vendor support and sales, cashiers and assist with data entry in the back office.

Most shifts are four to five hours long. All volunteers will receive breakfast or lunch, a pre-shop session at 8 a.m. on Saturday before the doors are open to the general public at 10 a.m. Volunteers will also receive a letter of appreciation, and be entered into the daily prize drawings.

"As an extra bonus this year, all volunteers who work for more than one shift will be entered in a special grand prize drawing at the end of the bazaar," said Mrs. Williams.

To volunteer, call Mrs. Williams at 222-7770 or Mrs. Patty Mayers at 222-9523. Volunteers can also e-mail the chairpersons at fareastbazaar@yahoo.com. When e-mailing, volunteers should leave a phone number where they can be reached. The committee is not able to respond to .mil e-mail accounts.
