3 Misawa Airmen earn AF Communications, Information Awards

Three Misawa Airmen were recently informed of the Air Force selected them as outstanding in their field. Congratulations goes to:

The Air Force Communications and Information Outstanding Field Grade Officer Award goes to Lt. Col. William Poirier, 35th Communications Squadron commander.

The Air Force Communications and Information Outstanding Information Management Airman goes to Senior Airman Crystal Swinton, 35th Fighter Wing command section.

The Air Force Communications and Information Outstanding Postal Service Airman goes to Senior Airman Reys Cruz, 35th Communications Squadron. 

Also, winning an award was the Misawa Post Office, which was named the 2006 PACAF Outstanding Large Postal Facility

The Air Force Association General Billy Mitchell Award for Communication Excellence: Each year AFA honors an Air Force communications and information professional for outstanding performance and contributions to Air Force missions and operations. For this year, it's our pleasure to announce that an independent award panel selected Lt Col William J. Poirier, 35 CS, Misawa AB JA, from among the officer, enlisted, and civilian C&I award winners, as the person whose communications and information contributions most enhanced the Air Force's warfighting capability. AFA will present the General Billy Mitchell award during their annual Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition in Washington DC; this normally takes place in September.
