MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- The following personnel at Misawa AB were punished under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) in the month February of 2019:
Nonjudicial Punishments (Article 15):
A Staff Sergeant from the 35th Logistics Readiness Squadron received an Article 15 for failing to maintain proper custody and control of issued firearms and ammunition. The member received a suspended reduction to the grade of E-4 and a reprimand.
Discharges:
An Airman First Class from the 35th Aerospace Medicine Squadron was involuntarily separated for driving under the influence of alcohol, then lying to and disrespecting both Japanese Police and Security Forces personnel, and received an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.
An Airman Basic from the 35th Maintenance Squadron was involuntarily separated for wrongfully using over the counter medication and driving under the influence of alcohol, and received an Under Honorable Conditions (General) service characterization.
