CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT CHARLES W "CHUCK" FRIZZELL

CMSgt Charles "Chuck" W. Frizzell is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan.  He serves as the senior enlisted advisor to the 35th Fighter Wing and Misawa Air Base installation commander on a 13,000-person base supporting eight associate units representing all four services and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.  He is responsible for the health, welfare and morale of the installation's enlisted force, including two fighter squadrons, 35 support agencies and more than 4,000 personnel.  Chief Frizzell serves as the primary communications link between the installation commander and the enlisted community, ensuring understanding and compliance with the commander's programs and policies.  In addition, he advises the commander on important enlisted force issues and concerns, and also provides a critical interface with Japan Air Self-Defense Force senior enlisted leadership.

CMSgt Frizzell entered the Air Force in February 1992. He has served in a variety of positions at the squadron, group, wing, and major command levels.  His assignments include locations in Colorado, California, Virginia and Texas.  The chief also served overseas in the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom and Japan, and deployed on multiple occasions in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and NEW DAWN.  Prior to serving in his current position, he served as the 374th Medical Group Superintendent at Yokota Air Base, Japan.
